SwVCC's Certificate program in Radio / Television Broadcast Production

SwVCC has designed its Certificate of Broadcasting program to help students develop the technical skills that they will need when competing for positions in the broadcast industry.  Our program familiarizes the student with linear editing, emphasizes digital editing, enhances performance technique and encourages creative design and camera work.

The three semester long Broadcast Production Certificate program is structured to provide students with intensive "hands-on" training and instruction in the production and broadcast of television and radio.

Focused occupational objectives resulting from a certificate in radio / television broadcast production include:  Videographers, Radio Disc Jockeys and Technicians, Graphic Designers, Broadcast Production Assistants, Video Technicians, Recording Engineers and Self-employment.

Admission to the program requires general college admission plus proficiency in English as measured by appropriate tests administered by the College Counseling department.

The student is required to take basic technical courses and general education courses.  Students who complete the requirements of the program will be awarded a Certificate in Radio / Television Broadcast Production.
