SwVCC Television

SwVCC TV, which is run by the college's Distance and Distributed Learning department, showcases the best programs and brightest minds at Southwest Virginia Community College and within the region.  The station, located on Cable Plus channel 67, features general studies courses offered by the college, community and cultural programming, student created shows, entertainment and general college information.  The station's main goal is to serve as an intellectual and cultural resource for area residents by providing an alternative to mainstream television.

In conjunction with programming, the SwVCC TV studios utilize in-house professional video services such as in-studio and on-location video production, post-production using non-linear editing, graphics, teleconferencing, satellite downlink, closed captioning, and video digitizing in formats suitable for DVD, CD and the web. 

SwVCC television does not replace the college's original information channel located on-campus on channel 78.  It operates in addition to offer students maximum exposure to college information.
